Project: SEISMIC EVALUATION OF WHITCOULLS QUEEN ST, AUCKLAND, NZ

Client: JAWA Structures Ltd

The Whitcoulls Queen St Building is an historic building in the centre of the Auckland CBD. This unreinforced masonry building undertook a major redevelopment including seismic evaluation and strengthening. COMPUSOFT ENGINEERING was engaged to carry out seismic analyses of the building and assist in the design of a FRP strengthening system. Work included dynamic seismic analyses of the building, modelling the existing unreinforced masonry structure and added reinforced concrete, structural steel, and FRP elements.
