Structural Reviewers: COMPUSOFT ENGINEERING

COMPUSOFT ENGINEERING were engaged to carry out a Peer Review on the analysis and design of a 37m x 25m concrete foundation for a generator and associated equipment. Foundation thickness varied from 1.35 to 2.75m and was supported by precast driven piles.

The review included detailed assessment of 3D modelling, allowance for thermal effects (differential temperature, and heat of hydration), shrinkage, soil structure interaction and serviceability requirements of the generator. Detailed independent calculations were required to verify capacity of critical elements.
