The canopy reflects the waves rolling onto the beach just across from the pool. A significant enhancement to the poolside restaurant this 600m2 canopy provides a great deal of sheltered dining and is in keeping with the high class resort feel that this hotel is famous for. The structure comprises of a hyper-type tensioned fabric membrane canopy supported by a steel frame. The steel frame consists of steel rafters spanning from the existing Sheraton structure to raked steel posts supported off concrete foundations. The rafters alternate from high to low points along the front of the canopy. The structure is braced longitudinally by two diagonal steel struts along the front of the canopy. Connection to the existing Sheraton structure provides bracing in the lateral direction.
