Mangatangi Spillway Sesmic Assessment, Kaiaua, Franklin, NZ

Project: MANGATANGI SPILLWAY SEISMIC ASSESSMENT, KAIAUA, FRANKLIN, NZ.

COMPUSOFT was engaged to undertake a seismic assessment of Mangatangi dam spillway shaft. Assessment included seismic analysis, incorporating site specific earthquake spectra and hydrodynamic mass. Evaluation on shaft ductility and strength capacity based upon as-built reinforcement detailing, and relevant research was also undertaken. Comparisons with previous assessments were then made, along with recommendations on potential shaft strengthening.
