This prominent V-frame barrel vaulted structure connects the Ellerslie shopping precinct and the Ellerslie Train Station over Aucklands Southern Motorway. The series of canopies provide excellent protection to pedestrians from the weather in a previously highly exposed environment.

The complex and varying geometry of the existing footbridge and approach ramps and the difficult location provided unique challenges that required a considered approach towards the overall structural system.
