This canopy provides expansive coverage to the medical centre’s main entrance concourse. The conical structure is held up by two large raking cantilever masts from which the fabric spreads out to the perimeter. These curved masts are elliptical in cross section, with the major axis dimension varying from 800 mm at the base to 300mm at the tip of the cantilever.

This canopy illustrates how large column free spaces can be simply achieved in tensioned fabric architecture.
