Buffalo School Courtyard

Type of Fabric: PTFE coated fibre glass, approximately 1800m^2

This structure was designed to cope with the snow loads of that area of New York State while achieving a free span of 30m x 30m.

An acoustic layer was also provided to help reduce noise and help with insulation.

Designed as part of a 150 year old building retrofit, the structure was supported on specially designed isolation bearings to ensure the historic brick supporting structure was not required to suffer face loading.
