AMP Building Analysis, Auckland, NZ
Project: AMP BUILDING ANALYSIS, AUCKLAND, NZ
Client: MURRAY JACOBS LTD.
The AMP building is a 14 story office tower, located in central Auckland and built in the early 1970's.
COMPUSOFT ENGINEERING were engaged to undertake a seismic analysis of the exiting reinforced concrete superstructure incorporating a proposed 4 additional floors. A series of models were created using the finite element analysis package ETABS to develop a set of seismic loadings for use in the structural evaluation of the existing building and design of new floors. Wind sensitivity studies were also undertaken on the structure to demonstrate that wind induced vibration would not effect the serviceability of the building.
